About HowTo Amigurumi

Every project here traces back to a love of making things by hand. HowTo Amigurumi grew out of countless evenings spent crocheting and a desire to help others start their own. From those first few patterns, a generous, free library took shape.

HowTo Amigurumi started as a fix for exactly that. Every pattern on this site is written out in full — every round, every increase and decrease, every fasten-off — and crocheted by hand before it's ever published. If the counts don't work for us, they don't go live.

What we believe

• Clarity beats cleverness. Clear materials, hook sizes, gauge and finished measurements before you make a single stitch.
• Every level is welcome. From your very first magic ring to intricate amigurumi, there's a tested make here for you.
• Made by a real maker. These aren't auto-generated — they're designed and tested by someone who loves yarn as much as you do.
